ART FOR ALL! Intergenerational Saturday Series: YAY for CLAY!Starting this fall, we will be presenting a series of four-week workshops devoted to making art with friends and family! We are inviting artists of all ages to come with a friend of a different age: a preschooler and their grandfather, a ten-year-old and their big sister, a teen and their mom, and eighteen-year-old and a friend. These workshops are dedicated to the idea that making art is fun, and fun stuff is even more fun if you do it with someone you love. No experience in art making is required as we will all be working at our own pace and learning from one another.

Our first group of four workshops is Yay for Clay! The Elements of the Universe will inspire us as we make clay objects reflecting WATER, EARTH, FIRE and AIR. Join us this fall for a celebration of nature, friendship and clay!

This class was created by our dear friend Deb Pollak who will be co-teaching with Heather! Deb has taught art in Philadelphia public, independent and charter schools, and has taught art education at Tyler School of Art and Moore College of Art. She has been teaching art to kids and adults for thirty years. You can currently see her gallery sitting and working with Wayne Highlands students at the Wayne County Arts Alliance’s Main Street Gallery as well as teaching art workshops at the Wayne County Public Library. We are so happy to welcome her to The Bodhi Tree!

Dates: Saturdays, November 5th, 12, 19th and 26th

Time: 12:00pm - 2:00pm

Ages: 6 yrs and up for children, accompanied by a teen or adult art partner

Cost: $150 per pair, all materials included
